The Moon is a lesbian.

How do I know?

She demands my attention,

shining like the boldest in the room.

In my slumber, my body aches for her;

I awaken and look out for her every night.

My mind feels settled when I see her.

She is safe, and she is home.

When I am with her, she makes me feel whole.

Every fibre in my being yearns for her.

She is always there.

I know I’m not her only one.

There were many souls before mine,

and there’ll be even more after.

All who caught her gaze swore to love her.

Not me; I worship her.

I lay naked in her light,

embracing her energy as her rays touched my skin.

She empowers my soul, making me feel intensely,

electricity surging through my veins.

She is the almighty divine and powerful,

invigorating and delicious.

She takes my breath away

every single time.

Hello, my lovelies!

I'm back from Rome (blog post about my trip pending), and I'm pleased to let you know that, as of March 23rd, you can access the Kindle version of The Moon is a Lesbian. It has 11 new poems. You can buy it now, or if you've got Kindle Unlimited, you can read it for FREE!

Hello lovelies!

As some of you may know, on my 25th birthday last year, I published my very first poetry collection, The Moon is a Lesbian! It's almost the first anniversary, and I am still shocked at how much support I received and all the love people have given to it. It is a proud moment when people buy your books (some even take pictures with them and cry each time).

Publishing the collection was definitely a highlight of 2023. It made some great sales and, at one point, ranked 9 on Amazon's LGBTQ+ Anthologies list, which was just incredible. Since the release, I've been writing my heart out (as always) and have decided that on the year anniversary (23rd March 2024), I will be releasing a Kindle version of The Moon is a Lesbian. However, it will include some new poems!! So far, ten new poems, but more could be added between then and now!

I altered the cover slightly, wanting the Kindle version to look somewhat different from the physical copy. So, here is the cover for the Kindle edition of my poetry collection:

In case you didn't hear about it the first time, the collection is filled with personal poems that cover the topics of love, lesbian life, coming out, mental health, politics, queer panic, and all that is in my heart. I'm excited to share this extended poetry collection with you in the upcoming weeks!

Hello, lovelies!

It has been an incredible couple of days. Yesterday, I turned 25, and The Moon is a Lesbian was officially published and shared with the world! What a way to enter the next stage of my life!

Everyone in my life has been so supportive, and I feel so grateful for every single person. My heart has never felt so full before. When my copy was delivered today, I felt this overwhelming state of pride. I did it. My name is on a book I wrote- it feels surreal! From sharing my poetry on my blog here to actually being able to flick through a book to read them is insane to me.

I've had the aspiration of publishing a poetry collection for many years. I've mentioned it so much on the blog, and now I can share the link with you so you can purchase The Moon is a Lesbian! I can't thank you enough, yes, you, the reader. I appreciate everyone who wanders onto my blog and reads my words. It means the world to me that you read what I have to say. Thank you!

Hello, lovelies,

Yes, the long-awaited moment is here. In my Goals for 2023 post, I mentioned wanting to self-publish my poetry collection, and I am happy to announce that it's well underway!

Truth be told, this is something I have wanted to do forever. I'm finally in a place in my life where I can make that happen. This project has been in my head for years, and it wasn't until I started freelancing that I was given the opportunity to take better control of my time and projects. I've managed to balance my life in ways I never thought possible, and now I'm able to write more outside of my work life, and it's never been better.

I'm thrilled that today I can finally give you a title reveal and a publication date for my poetry collection!

I'll be doing a cover reveal very soon, I am currently just in the final editing stages, and it's all just so exciting! I have been writing poetry for as long as I can remember, and during this whole process, it's been lovely going through every poem I've ever written. It's amazing seeing how far my words have come. However, I also found some poems (that will be included in the collection) that cover topics that are still relevant in current political climates. I've discovered love and heartache don't change all that much the older you get.

The collection will consist of 40 poems. All from my heart and experiences of love, loss, life and everything in between. I'm so excited to share them all with you and the world, but first, I think it's time to announce the title of my poetry: The Moon is a Lesbian.

Yes, the collection is very on-brand and queer. The poem the collection is titled from is one of my favourite poems that I've ever written. This was the poem that really made me want to push my poetry into the world. I still can't believe how close I am to releasing my first book!

You're probably wondering about the publication date, and well, this year, I turn 25. I know not many consider it a particularly big age, but for me, it feels colossal. It feels like I should have my shit together at 25, and I wanted to start 25 with the best beginnings, so The Moon is a Lesbian will be published on my 25th birthday: 23.03.2023. Start as you mean to go on, eh?

In the upcoming weeks, I'll post all kinds of fun stuff relating to the publication across my social media channels. I've got some fun ideas I'm playing around with for Instagram reels, so if you want to stay in the loop, follow me over there. I still can't believe this is happening!!
