It's dark and damp
in this mind of my mine
it's awful lonely in this head of mine
but then you come along like a lamp
lighting up my simplest of thoughts
buzzing around my words
making me love this mind of mine
you're my little ball of light
whizzing around me in the dark
you make it bearable in this head of mine
with you wings you push out all the bad
making it all seem good in this heart of mine

Despite all chances the light ripped through the forest
Have you ever been trapped by darkness, emotional darkness. It's contagious, once you feel is once it tends to stay a little while.  Sometimes it feels like a virus; you're stuck with it for life... It is sometimes camouflaged, hiding in the back of your mind ready to be flagged up at any given time.
The darkness can be overpowering, it can weaken us until we feel like we are nothing, nothing but a waste of space and time.  It's like a constant cloud within you,

You feel like you're falling, falling further and further into nothingness. You feel trapped, uneasy and unable of a single spec of happiness. You believe it will last forever, but you are wrong. It won't last forever, it simply can't. You have to be strong, don't let that darkness drive you. The light will become evident, even if it's just a spark, a singular spark in the darkness. You  better grasp it with both hands, and let it fill you. Soon enough there will be more than just a sparking splitting your darkness in two.

Water barrier project with the creative use of light
Barriers, they are all around us. If they be physical or emotional, we guard ourselves. Keeping our own secrets, and desires safeguarded. Maybe in a life time we only allow a handful of people past such barriers, some of those people bring betrayal, however others bless those barriers with cherished respect.

Our barriers are reflective of us, and what we want. We allow the world to see us how we want to be seen, even it is under false pretences.

Maybe one day, we won't feel the need to barrier ourselves, perhaps the light will shine through it destroying it, finally allowing us to be ourselves. Without the need to hide.
