On the bus today

Monday, 20 June 2016

A child approached me
On the bus today
In her words there was so much to see
It was not expected at least to say.

Naive and a questioning mind
A smile gentle and pure
The answers were hers to find
What set of this wonder I'm not sure.

Clueless to awkward emotions
Questioning further eager for answers
It unnerved me setting off notions
Only if we all werw unaware of world's cancers.

The young ones have it best
Nothing to spoil their thoughts
It's the older one that is the pest
Their own hearts and sorts.
